Excluding the "Evliya Çelebi Seyahatnamesi," the first old monument inventory of Istanbul is the "Hadîkat'ül-Cevâmi." Published once in Ottoman Turkish in 1865, this inventory mentions 874 places of worship listed under various headings. Including 22 additional places of worship mentioned within the text, the work references a total of 896 Istanbul temples. The book "Ottoman Era Istanbul Mosques" was written based on the studies conducted on the mentioned inventory, "Hadîkat'ül-Cevâmi," and is enriched with old photographs. It consists of three volumes and is a prestige edition. This work was prepared with the assistance of the Turkish Turing Automobile Association (TTOK).
