Automobiles, one of the most important inventions in the world and indispensable to modern people, continue to evolve day by day.

As Turing marks its 97th year of serving the public interest, it is publishing this work, which is a significant resource in this field.

The first book of the series, planned as three different volumes, is titled "Automobile in Ottoman Istanbul." It focuses on articles about transportation, the invention of the automobile, and the history of automobiles centered in Istanbul during the Ottoman period. The second book covers the journey of the automobile in our country from the early years of the Republic until the 1950s. The third book, "My Car Flies Away," discusses the place of automobiles in our culture, art, literature, and folklore. This study, which came to fruition after years of scanning primary sources such as archives, press, and memoirs and utilizing previous research in this field, is also enriched with visual materials.
