Exactly one week after the proclamation of our Republic, Reşit Saffet Atabinen and his colleagues founded the Turkish Turing and Automobile Association, which has been a pioneer in various fields such as culture, art, history, and tourism, serving the public interest. One of its primary activities is the services it provides related to road traffic. Today, Turing is adding to its publications, which are designed as sets to instill traffic awareness in children from an early age, with traffic-themed cartoons, mobile games, and now a new book titled "Road Traffic Safety in Turkey". This book addresses one of the country's major traffic issues—the training and equipping of motorbike couriers, along with publications prepared on this subject. The ongoing pain of the loved ones left behind by the thousands of citizens injured or killed in traffic accidents each year deeply affects us all. Our greatest hope is to raise awareness and implement measures to minimize these tragic accidents.
